Maenam Hill Trek
Why Maenam Hill Trek?
Maenam Hill (3,235m) is the highest point of South Sikkim — a protected wildlife sanctuary above Ravangla with one of the most varied altitude gradients in the region. The half-day trek climbs through dense subtropical forest that gives way to rhododendron and magnolia, then opens onto a bare summit ridge where Kanchenjunga, Pandim and the Kabru massif appear above a sea of cloud. Red pandas have been sighted here. The Maenam Monastery at the top is centuries old and often empty.
