We started Pahari Peaks in 2010 with a simple, un-marketable belief: the best way to travel India is slowly, through people you know, in rooms where somebody’s grandmother lives upstairs.

Fifteen years on, we’ve kept it small by choice. We still take our time. We still answer the phone. We still travel every single tour we sell, at least once, ourselves.

Local first

Every tour we sell is built with, and often owned by, a local operator we know personally. Your rupee stays in the hills.

Slow is fast

We design for depth, not distance. One monastery well is worth three monasteries rushed. You come home changed, not tired.

No fine print

What we quote is what you pay. No surprise add-ons, no hidden transfers. If we recommend something, it is because we would do it ourselves.

First West Bengal office

Elgin Road office opens. First Darjeeling tea estate partnerships signed.
