Ground notes
Why Dooars?
The Dooars is North Bengal's quietly spectacular floodplain — a 130km belt of forest, tea country and river beds that runs along the Bhutan border. This is where elephants still cross highways, leopards live inside tea gardens, and dawn comes up pink over the Murti river. The Dooars is, thankfully, still too slow for most tourists.
