Green Lake Trek
Why Green Lake Trek?
The Green Lake trek is Sikkim's most remote high-altitude route: 11 days from Lachen through the Zemu glacier moraine to Green Lake at 5,100m, directly below the north face of Kanchenjunga (8,586m). This is raw glacier country — crevassed ice, moraines, and a lake whose preternatural green colour comes from glacial flour suspended in the meltwater. The trek requires strong fitness, prior Himalayan experience, and robust weather luck. It rewards accordingly.
