Kurseong

Why Kurseong?

Kurseong sits at 1,458m on the same Himalayan ridge as Darjeeling but without the crowds. The town grew along the old toy train route — you can hear it whistle through the tea gardens at dawn. Known as the 'Land of White Orchids', Kurseong has seven tea estates including the renowned Makaibari and Castleton. The walk through Makaibari in the early morning is one of the most beautiful tea-estate experiences in India.
